Colorado CPA’s are required to complete 2 hours of ethics CPE per reporting period. Course #4000, Ethics and Professional Conduct for Arkansas CPAs CR&R, fulfills the Colorado ethics CPE requirement. This course focuses on the legal and ethical considerations of practicing accounting in Colorado. The course is based on specific Colorado statutes, rules of the Colorado State Board of Accountancy and the policies of the Colorado Board. The 2 hour ethics course is part of the minimum 32 hours of “Code A” courses Colorado CPAs are required to complete out of the 80 hours of CPE they must report for every two year renewal period. Colorado CPAs register on 5/31 of even years but must have all CPE completed by 12/31 of the year prior to renewal.

Course #4025, Ethics and Professional Conduct for Arizona CPAs, fulfills the Arizona ethics CPE requirement for CPAs licensed in this state. The Arizona State Board of Accountancy requires CPAs to take 4 hours of ethics CPE during every two-year renewal cycle. The course is board-approved and focuses on various ethical pronouncements and rulings as well as specific guidance for Arizona CPAs. The 4 hour ethics course is included in the 80 hours of continuing education required for Arizona CPAs during each two-year renewal period. If you were born in an even-numbered year, you must renew your license in even-numbered years during the month of your birth date. If you were born in an odd-numbered year, you must renew in odd years during the month of your birth date.

Arkansas CPA’s are required to complete 4 hours of ethics CPE per reporting period. Course #4650, Ethics and Professional Conduct for Arkansas CPAs, fulfills the Arkansas ethics CPE requirement. The course covers the Arkansas Code of Professional Conduct as well as various ethical pronouncements and rulings. The 4 hour ethics course is part of the required 40 hours of continuing education the Arkansas State Board of Accountancy requires CPA’s in this state to complete by the annual 12/31 deadline. You must also make sure that you fulfill the Board’s requirement that 60% of the hours are in accounting, accounting ethics, attest, taxation, computer science or management advisory services. In addition to the Arkansas-specific ethics course, PES also offers general ethics CPE courses that fulfill the Arkansas requirement (located at the bottom of the Professional Ethics page). Our Alaska Ethics CPE course has been designed to inform you about various ethical pronouncements and rulings and the Code of Professional Conduct, as well as Alaska statutes and regulations. The course fulfills the specific ethics requirements for the state of Alaska, which requires you to take 4 hours of ethics CPE per 2 year reporting period. In addition to the 4 hour ethics requirement, Alaska CPA’s are required to take 76 more hours of continuing education (80 hours total) in the reporting period; with a minimum of 20 hours per year. CPE for Alaska CPA’s must be completed by the license expiration date which is December 31st of every odd year.
